Mongolia and South Korea sign marrow transplant technology transfer agreement.
Mongolia and South Korea sign marrow transplant technology transfer agreement. The agreement is signed by the Central Clinical Hospital No 1 in Ulaanbaatar with the St.Mary’s Hospital in Seoul. The document envisages introduction of the latest stem cell transplantation technology and methodology in use at the St. Mary’s Hospital which ranks number 5 for BMT in the world and is the best institute in Asia. The cooperation between the two hospitals started in 2011 the BMT project at the Central Hospital No1 of Ulaanbaatar. Then the first BMT surgery in Mongolia was performed in 2014 in partnership with the doctors of the St. Mary’s Hospital. Since that time Mongolian BMT specialists have been undergoing training at St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul.
