Night of ballet held
International ballet festival “Night of ballet” was held in Ulaanbaatar.
International ballet festival “Night of ballet” was held in Ulaanbaatar. It is the 5th time the “Night of ballet” was held gathering together on the Mongolian stage prestigious 17 ballet masters of 8 countries. They included the ballet dancers of Boston ballet, Orlando ballet and Cincinnati of America, Komaki ballet of Japan, the National Ballet of Canada and the Opera and Ballet Theatre of Mongolia. The “Night of ballet” showcased the Mongolian national ballet Skilful Khas, and some classical ballets “Swan Lake” and “Don Quixote.” The international ballet festival is the brainchild of Mongolian ballet dancer D.Altankhuyag who is the head of “Mongolian Ballet Development Foundation”, a principal dancer of the US “Boston Ballet”. The surprise of the show was the joint performance “Mongol pride” of ballet dancer Altankhuyag and folk singer Erdenechimeg.
