Mongolia and South Korea strengthen relations in education sector. A MoU was signed between the Ministries of Education of Mongolia and South Korea. It envisages increasing a number of Mongolian students to study in South Korea with governmental scholarships, training 500 Mongolian engineers and collaborating in establishment of a joint IT school. The MoU in general aims to intensify the bilateral cooperation in the education sector, which has so far been one of the most active areas of cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations 25 years ago. At present some 33000 Mongolian students study in the Republic of Korea.
