Mongolia builds 9 new airport terminals for ASEM Summit
To improve the passenger capacity of the Chinghis Khan International Airport, its runways have been expanded by 500 m. nine new terminals were built to receive the ASEM Summit guests, which makes the total of 34 terminals.

New transfer halls able to receive 1,200 passengers per hour were established and rehabilitation works are underway in business lounge, luggage area, departure halls and jetbridges. Chinghis Khan International Airport has direct connections to nine destinations. MIAT Mongolian Airlines is expanding its fleet by 40%, adding two Boeing 737-800s.
