Commemorative silver coins released
The Bank of Mongolia /BoM/ issued silver coins carrying the portray of “Ogodei Khan”, and devoted to the 830th birth anniversary of Ogodei Khan which is being marked this year.
The Bank of Mongolia /BoM/ issued silver coins carrying the portray of “Ogodei Khan”, and devoted to the 830th birth anniversary of Ogodei Khan which is being marked this year. The Coin Invest Trust, the Bank of Mongolia’s contractor has minted 2,500 silver coins. Each of “Ogodei Khan” pure silver coins is priced 5 USD. Ogodei Khan, the son of Chinghis khan was the second khan of the 13th century Great Mongolian Empire. He was the successor of his father, great Chinggis Khan’s regency in 1229. Ogodei Khan reformed the empire’s administration and continued the expansion of the empire established by his father Chinghis Khan. Under the guidance of Ogodei Khan, the Mongols completed the conquest of North China and expanded the empire to the Middle East.
