The government considers the accession to the named conventions would help create conditions for using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in conformity with international standards and requirements of nuclear safety. There would also be created legal environment for monitoring the safety of management of radioactive wastes, and for combating nuclear terrorism and crimes, and strengthening international cooperation.
