Mongolia’s animal tendon-made surgical thread is internationally recognized. Professor at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology Togs took the gold medal and a cash prize in the “Innovative solutions in our life-2015” international contest for inventing a surgical thread made of animal tendon. The creation became the best among some 40 innovations. The product is undergoing an industrial test and is expected to go into industry very soon.
